2 Timothy 4:3   (New International Version) For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. Youch ... pretty harsh verse, isn't it? I've always viewed this verse as if it was for other people. You know, the  non-believers ? But lately I can see it apply to believers, like myself. We so often read between the lines of the Bible to see what  we  want to see, not what  God  wants us to see. I think this verse becomes true when we stop looking at the Bible like every word can be applied to our life, and it become more of a history book then the  Word of God.  God wrote each verse for us, and it might even have different meanings at different times in a person life.
